Explanation of Application Sections
Statement of Purpose: Attach a one-to-two-page statement that explains your interests
in psychology and in mind/brain/behavior, and the intellectual coherence of your specific
selection of courses. Samples: Sophomore and Junior.Plan of Study: Complete the plan of study portion of the application. If any of your choices
deviate from the requirements (e.g., substitution, fulfilling requirement late), attach an additional
statement explaining the change. If you are petitioning to include a course not on the cluster lists;
also attach a course syllabus.Concentration Adviser Approval: This signature signifies you and your CA have reviewed your
application together.Faculty Approval: You must receive the approval of an assistant, associate, or full professor in
the department, whose signature attests that your proposed program of study is both feasible and
intellectually coherent.Submission: Submit two copies of your complete application (including any attachments) to
the Psychology Undergraduate Office (William James 218). Also save a copy for yourself.Deadlines: We review MBB applications twice yearly. For 2012-2013, the Fall deadline is
Thursday, November 1, 2012 and the Spring deadline is Monday, April 1, 2013. You must submit
an application no later than the first semester of your junior year, but may submit it earlier if you wish.After Submission: Your application will be reviewed by the department, and we
